Howard
Jacobs has been able to bring his extensive photographic and darkroom skills
into the computer to produce striking color images, many that often evoke humor.
He brings together, in each piece, numerous photographs that he has taken over
the years to be manipulated in the "darkroom of the computer." Themes are varied.
A series of art pieces spoofing the masters has had special interest.
Believing in photographic art, all of the work is printed on quality photographic
papers. They are signed and are in low numbered editions.
A number of these pieces are contained in collections throughout the United
States and Europe. Mr. Jacobs has been a participant in solo, group and juried
exhibitions where he has earned various awards. His photographs have appeared
in several publications. He lives in Westchester County in New York State and
teaches digital imaging to individuals, groups and classes.
